The motion detector is used for automatic, temporary lighting attach if a person or another object appears in detector’s range in places such as hallways, courtyards, approaches and driveways, garages, etc.
With presence detector function.
The basis of the DRO-10 presence sensor's operation is radar, which operates at a very high frequency (24 GHz). It enables precise detection of micro movements such as chest movement, eye blink or other minimal body movements. In response to such minimal movement, the light is switched on and remains so for the duration of the presence detection. When the sensor stops detecting presence, the light is switched off after a time set using the TIME knob.
The DRO-10 is also equipped with a brightness sensor that prevents the light from switching on during the day or when the brightness level is too high. The operating level of the brightness sensor can be set using the LUX knob. The motion detection range of the sensor covers a full 360° around the sensor axis. Within a radius of up to 3 metres from the axis, the sensor functions as a presence detector; within a radius of 3 to 4.5 metres, it can be regarded as a classic motion sensor. The sensor's accuracy is not dependent on the ambient temperature. The sensor is designed for indoor use.
NOTE!
The microwave radiation power is relatively low and is completely safe for humans and animals. Its value is below 0.2 mW. In comparison, a microwave oven and a mobile phone radiate with a power of approx. 1000 mW.
