The phase sequence and phase loss sensor is designed to protect electric motors and other equipment supplied from a three-phase mains. The sensor will trip when the voltage on one or more phases falls below a set minimum value or exceeds a set maximum value. The CKF-320-TRMS also controls the phase sequence of the supply, preventing the motor from spinning in the wrong direction.
The phase sequence and phase loss sensor is designed to protect an electric motor supplied from a three-phase network in cases of:
- voltage loss in at least one phase;
- Voltage drop in at least one phase below the preset value;
- voltage increase on at least one phase above the preset value
- incorrect phase sequence.
The disconnection is performed with a preset delay to avoid accidental disconnections for momentary disturbances in the network.
Thanks to the measurement of the real effective voltage value (TrueRMS), the sensor guarantees correct operation even when operating in a heavily disturbed mains.
