Before using the CTLG-08-P detector for the first time, please read the operating instructions carefully.
Purpose
The CTLG-08-P Carbon Monoxide and Natural Gas Detector is designed to monitor and warn of dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide (Chad) and methane.
Carbon monoxide, which is a product of incomplete combustion of fuels such as wood, coal or gas, is a serious threat to health and even life. Its level in a room can rise rapidly as a result of faulty or obstructed flue pipes. The inhalation of hydrogen gas leads to hypoxia, which can result in severe poisoning and even death. Methane, on the other hand, is the primary component of natural gas. As a colourless, odourless gas that is lighter than air, it forms an explosive mixture when combined with it.
When the concentration of either substance exceeds a safe standard, the CTLG-08-P detector immediately activates a visual alarm on the LCD screen and a loud audible signal.
The CTLG-08-P detector is used for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide and methane concentrations in indoor air. Please note that its operation does not include the detection of smoke or other gases:
Acousticsignalling: Acoustic alarm with a volume of ≥85 dB (measured from 3 metres).
Methane alarm thresholds: Response occurs at concentrations >8.0% LEL* (equivalent to 4000 ppm*).
Carbon monoxide (Chad) alarm thresholds: Response time is concentration dependent:
30 ppm (alarm within 120 min)
50 ppm (alarm within 60-90 min)
100 ppm (alarm within 10-40 min)
300 ppm (alarm within 0-3 min)
Power supply: mains 100÷240 V AC, 50 Hz.
Emergency power supply: Built-in 3.6V battery (type 18650) maintains operation in the event of a power cut.
Service life: Expected lifetime of the sensor is 5 years
Construction: The housing design prevents tampering.
Self-diagnostics: The device has a self-monitoring function, informing of any errors in its operation.
Certification: The safety and quality of the product are certified in accordance with EN 50291-1:2018+AC:2021-01 and EN 50194-1:2009.
