Radio communication distinguishes the CTLG-08-R smoke and gas detector

The CTLG-08-R detector is equipped with a 433 MHz radio communication module. In this way, the alarm signal is transmitted to all CTLG-08-R detectors within the range of the radio connection(up to 100 m in open space).
The alarm is transmitted with a delay of approx. 10 s, first signalling on the sensor that has detected the threat and then on subsequent sensors, allowing the alarm to spread automatically throughout the building.

The radio connection does not require any configuration, it is sufficient for the CTLG-08-R detectors to be within range of the radio connection.

Purpose

Chad, which is the result of incomplete combustion of fuels such as wood, coal or gas, is a serious danger to health and life. Its concentration indoors can rise rapidly as a result of a malfunction or blockage in flue pipes. Inhalation of carbon monoxide leads to hypoxia, which can result in dangerous poisoning and even death. Methane, on the other hand, is the main component of natural gas. The result of a methane leak can be an explosion. Methane is a colourless and odourless gas. Therefore, both natural gas (city gas) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) are enriched with special odourisers. The concentration of the odoriser is chosen so that it is perceptible even at the smallest possible leakage.

When the concentration of either substance exceeds the permissible threshold, the CTLG-08-R immediately activates a visual warning on the LCD display and emits a loud acoustic signal.

Technical specifications of the device

The CTLG-08-R sensor is designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide and methane concentrations in indoor air. It should be emphasised that this device is not designed to detect smoke or other gases ( e.g. LPG (propane-butane) from cylinders)

  • Alarm system: When a hazard is detected, the device activates a double alarm: audible and visual.

  • Audible alarm: Acoustic alarm with a sound intensity of ≥85 dB (measured at a distance of 3 metres).

  • Methane alarm levels: The device reacts at concentrations >8.0% DGW* (Lower Explosion Limit), equivalent to 4000 ppm*.

  • Carbon Monoxide (Chad) alarm levels: Alarm activation time is concentration dependent:

    • 30 ppm (alarm triggered within 120 min)

    • 50 ppm (alarm triggered within 60-90 min)

    • 100 ppm (alarm triggered within 10-40 min)

    • 300 ppm (alarm triggered within 0-3 min)

  • Main power supply: mains, 100÷240 V AC, 50 Hz.

  • Additional features: RF 433 MHz radio communication

  • Back-up power supply: Built-in 3.6 V battery (18650 type) provides back-up in case of mains power failure.

  • Service life: The estimated lifetime of the sensor is 5 years.

  • Protection factor IP 40.
  • Construction: The housing has been designed to prevent tampering.

  • Self-monitoring system: The device is equipped with a self-diagnostic function that alerts you to potential malfunctions.

  • Approvals: The safety and quality of the product are certified in accordance with EN 50291-1:2018+AC:2021-01 and EN 50194-1:2009.

  • SGS certification
