ST25-40-M – 25 A four-pole contactor with manual control

The ST25-40-M has four normally open contacts and a control handle that allows their state to be changed manually.

In addition to manual control, standard automatic operation is available, depending on the voltage applied to the coil.

The operation of the contactor depends on the setting of the operating mode switch:

Position ‘I’ (top position)
If the contactor coil is not energised, the contactor contacts are closed. Once the contactor is energised, the switch automatically moves to the ‘Auto’ position and from that moment on
it operates in automatic mode. To lock the contacts in the closed position regardless of the contactor’s power supply, move the yellow locking lever to the left whilst in the ‘I’ position.



‘Auto’ position (centre position)
Applying power energises the contactor and closes the contacts. When the power is disconnected, the contactor de-energises and the contacts open.



‘O’ position (lower position)
The contactor’s contacts remain open regardless of whether the supply voltage is present.
