Why choose the AT-1I-DS?

The AT-1I-DS reads the temperature from DS1820, DS18S20 or DS18B20 digital sensors and then converts the result into a 4–20 mA analogue current signal.

What does this mean in practice?

• The adjustable measurement range allows you to set the minimum and maximum temperatures corresponding to the output signal range.
• Sensor and configuration diagnostics use specific output current levels: 20.3 mA for a short circuit, 20.6 mA for a missing sensor, and 20.9 mA for an incorrect range setting.
• LED indicators show the operating status of the transmitter and the sensor.
• UTP twisted-pair cable with a maximum length of 300 m is recommended for connecting the power supply and the receiver.

Important! The digital temperature sensor is not part of the transmitter. The RT4 probe, amongst others, is designed for use with this device. A 3-core shielded cable must be used to connect the sensor, and it must not be routed in parallel with high-current cables

The transducer should be installed by a qualified electrician with appropriate authorisation and experience in electrical installations.
It is recommended to use high-quality power supplies with a good output voltage filtering factor to power the transducer.
Do not route signal cables – particularly the cable to the temperature sensor – in parallel with other high-current cables.
It is recommended to use a 3-core shielded cable to connect the temperature sensor. The cable shield must be connected to the PE at one end.
It is recommended to use UTP twisted-pair cable to connect the power supply and the receiver. The maximum length of the UTP cable must not exceed 300 m.
