MB-DS-10 Multi-point Temperature Transmitter, Modbus RTU

Why choose the MB-DS-10?

The MB-DS-10 enables temperature measurement at up to 10 points using DS18B20 digital sensors connected via a 1-Wire bus. Data is transmitted to the master device via RS-485 Modbus RTU.

What does this mean in practice?

• A single transmitter supports up to 10 measurement points.
• The measuring elements are external DS18B20 digital sensors.
• The sensors are connected via a 1-Wire bus.
• The measurement range is −55 to 125°C.
• A temperature reading is available for each connected sensor.
• Communication with the master system takes place via RS-485 Modbus RTU.
• Provided that installation requirements are met, the 1-Wire bus can be configured in specific topologies with a length or radius of up to 500 m.

Important: the dedicated SDS1 probe is available separately.

1-WIRE Standard

The MB-DS-10 utilises a single-channel 1-Wire Master circuit, which enables impedance matching and active ‘intelligent’ pull-up. It enables the creation of small and large 1-Wire networks in serial, hub and star topologies with a length or radius of up to 500 m.
